Driven by a passion for golf, I had the opportunity to partner with Camaraderie Clubs, working alongside club ownership and general managers as a project lead across 2 private golf clubs in Southern California, supporting operations in Huntington Beach and Camarillo. My role spanned day-to-day operations, capital projects, and revenue-driving initiatives, coordinating across club leadership, vendors, and city stakeholders to deliver durable operational improvements.

I led and supported a wide range of operational initiatives critical to the membership experience, compliance, and efficiency of club operations. Many of these efforts involved ambiguity, urgency, or regulatory complexity, requiring hands-on investigation and coordination across internal teams, vendors, and municipal agencies.

My work included:

  • Conducting a full security system audit and physical mapping of existing infrastructure to identify gaps, redundancies, and improvement opportunities

  • Leading a comprehensive audit and overhaul of club rules and regulations to improve clarity, consistency, and enforceability for members and staff

  • Designing and administering member surveys, then synthesizing results into actionable insights to inform operational and experience improvements

  • Investigating city noise ordinances and Conditional Use Permits (CUPs) impacting course maintenance operations, including in-person research at city hall and analysis of comparable city-owned golf course permits to successfully advocate for revised operating allowances

  • Managing the renewal and replacement process for the club’s golf cart fleet, coordinating across multiple vendors to evaluate pricing, service models, and long-term value

  • Negotiating and enforcing a floor warranty between two vendors, resulting in the replacement of over $50,000 in defective materials

  • Managing an urgent fire panel replacement project to maintain compliance and ensure uninterrupted club operations

  • Sourcing and coordinating vendors to develop proposals for a major event lawn renovation project, supporting future member events and revenue opportunities

In parallel with operational initiatives, I played a key role in planning and executing a pro shop renovation for Spanish Hills Club aimed at improving merchandising flow, aesthetics, and overall member experience.

My work included:

  • Streamlining renovation planning and execution by coordinating timelines, vendors, and operational constraints to minimize disruption to members

  • Leading the end-to-end design and layout of the pro shop, including selection of surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and décor, and optimizing traffic flow to improve visibility and sales performance

  • Designing and specifying custom carpentry builds including a check-in podium, shelving displays, and wall wainscoting to enhance functionality, merchandising, and overall aesthetic

  • Delivering a renovated space that aligned with brand standards, member expectations, and day-to-day operational realities

Across both clubs, this work strengthened operational resilience, reduced risk exposure, improved member experience, and supported sustainable revenue growth. By taking a hands-on, cross-functional approach to operations, capital projects, and retail management, I helped modernize club infrastructure, improve internal processes, and elevate the overall quality of the club experience for members and staff alike.
