Built with Flutter: Elevating the Developer Journey Through product Demos and Digital Experience
As Flutter emerged as Google’s next-generation multi-platform development framework, I partnered with the Flutter product marketing team to showcase its capabilities and elevate its digital presence. As a program manager at Very Good Ventures, an expert Flutter development agency, I led cross-functional efforts across interactive product demos and a high-profile website redesign. This work brought new features to life in compelling, developer-centric ways and reinforced Flutter’s positioning as a powerful tool for building across platforms.

overview
In preparation for Google’s largest developer conference of the year, Google I/O, we partnered with the Flutter team to create a virtual photobooth experience as COVID shifted the event online. There was just one catch — Flutter was only 4 years old at the time, and a web camera plug-in didn’t exist yet. So our talented team of developers built it from scratch, implemented it, and shared it with the open-source community just in time for the event.
Key areas I led during this project included:
Collaborating with Flutter’s product marketing team to define the creative vision, feature requirements, prioritization, and functionality
Writing requirements for features, UX, and technical specifications while managing the product backlog and leading an international development team of three
Owning QA and testing to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across devices and platforms
Coordinating cross-functional workflows between Google’s internal marketing, creative, and development teams to align production timelines
Managing asset production, UX and creative reviews, and stakeholder approvals to deliver a polished, on-brand experience for the event audience
Overseeing logistics and deliverables tracking to keep the project on schedule for the high-profile conference launch
Fun fact: One of the very first users of our virtual photobooth?
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google — talk about a launch moment!

I/O Photobooth @ GOOGLE I/O Adventure
Our virtual photobooth was featured inside Google I/O Adventure — the interactive digital world that reimagined the best parts of an in-person conference. Within I/O Adventure, attendees could explore product demos, chat with Googlers, earn virtual swag, connect with the developer community, customize their avatars, and hunt for hidden easter eggs.
Me + my Development Team
Our global dream team, spanning the US, Spain, and Poland, putting our work on I/O Photobooth to the test before launch. 🌍💻

overview
As part of our ongoing partnership with the Flutter product marketing team, we refreshed their existing slide puzzle product demo with updated code and a modernized visual design, then took it further by creating two new, creative puzzle versions to inspire the community. The challenge, hosted by DevPost, invited participants to reimagine the classic puzzle in the most innovative way possible (while keeping it functional) for a chance to win over $50,000 in prizes.
Key areas I led during this project included:
Collaborating with the Flutter marketing team to shape the visual + functional direction of the additional puzzles to fuel participant creativity
Overseeing development, design, QA, cross-device testing, and deployment for a seamless experience, while managing a development team and offshore creative agency partner
Coordinating timelines, feedback cycles, and deliverables across distributed teams to handoff in time for contest launch
The contest drew nearly 5,500 participants and recognized winners across six categories: Best Execution, Best Animation/Design, Most Creative, Best Multiplatform, Best Educational Content, and Community Choice — all showcasing the versatility of Flutter.

overview
Partnering with Google’s Flutter product marketing, engineering, and UX research teams, I led program management and operational coordination for the full redesign and re-architecture of Flutter’s website (flutter.dev). This initiative focused on cleaning up outdated architecture and content, improving site performance and comprehension, and showcasing the best of Flutter to drive engagement and conversion.
Collaborating with internal and freelance designers, developers, and content creators, I managed the end-to-end workflow from architecture refinement to design and asset production, CMS migration and implementation, QA and testing, and final deployment.
My work included:
Coordinating with the Flutter engineering team to re-architect the site, and consolidate outdated content, and sunset legacy systems
Managing the visual design process across all pages while collaborating with the Flutter product marketing team and freelance designer to align on visual theme and assets
Overseeing content sourcing, copywriting, and approval logistics with the Flutter marketing and engineering teams, developer SMEs & GDEs, and content writers
Coordinating the CMS implementation including SEO, assets, links, and overall content migration
Leading the QA, cross-browser/device testing, and deployment processes to ensure optimal performance and a seamless transition
Ensuring smooth collaboration across internal teams, freelance contributors, and technical stakeholders
Collaborating with the Flutter marketing team during such a formative stage of their growth was an incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to bring both creativity and execution to life. From developing real-world interactive demos to relaunching their website into a modern experience hub, I had the opportunity to help drive developer adoption and strengthen Flutter’s position as a leader in multi-platform development.
